I don't know if it was posted here or if the nesting material has been updated, but it turns out that you can neither drop it nor trade it. So I guess the theory of dropping all the materials isn't going to work.
I was wondering if maybe the white moas in GW:EN had anything to do with the hatching of the egg? Perhaps when they run off we should follow them to see if they run to a Moa Herder NPC that could aid in the hatching? Just a thought (and if it has already been posted...I'm sorry, I don't have the time to read through all 12 pages...I'm too busy running around gathering materials).

Anyone vanquished Gyala Hatchery yet? Maybe Katherine isn't so busy then. Bleh, probably a longshot.

Sure you can't move bonus weapons around, but you can create them on demand. You can't create these on demand; you gotta farm them again. Even if it's not a huge amount of time, it's still annoying, knowing that you could have just put them in storage.
And it just gets on my nerves that I'm stuck with it in my inventory. I can't even have a hero hold it to make room. If I want to make room to pick up lots of items while vanquishing or exploring or whatever, I can't move it out to make space. I just hope there is a solution to this soon... I don't want to be lugging fragile items around for all of GW:EN with my limited storage space.

The item also cannot be placed in storage after the update. Linsey says this is an unfortunate side-effect of making the item untradeable.

I guess the only way to make an item "un-tradeable" is to make it so it can't leave the inventory it's in, or something.

Meanwhile back at ANET HQ
Developer 1: Oh Moa egg and accessories for sale in Kamadan Dis 1.. wow expensive.
Developer 2: You did not buy any did you?
Developer 1: No I thought that was a inside joke?
Developer 2: It is... haha... Lets add nesting material in Elona that will get em busy.
Developer 1: Oh even better, I'll set it up so you can't trade these items. In This way nobody will think they are being scammed, and they are still busy running around. Furthermore no body can blame us.
Developer 2: ROFL... I love developing games.

I think you can work around not being able to place it in storage by dragging an item from storage into the inv slot the nesting material is in.
This should place the item from storage into your inv and the item in your inv into storage. I have not tested it on nesting materials but it works on other items that can not be placed in storage like bonus the weapons.

Sadly this don't work I have tried a few time AND they stacked
I had 3. 2 I was going to give away but now I can't.
Guess it's 1 nest per char to stop people who don't have all the campaigns
from getting this little bonus whatever it will turn into.

I don't know if they'll have changed it for the official release, but during the preview, when I saw the Moas, I chased after them (<3 the Moas). They ran all the way South and went through another portal. That's when I realized my henchies were all dead from trying to follow me, so....
